The flowers on my petunia are "molting". They have tiny reddish brown spots that take them over.?

Could this be a disease...overwatering....

It sounds like "rust", Warm days, cool nights and moisture encouraged rust to grow.It can also survive in fallen leaves and debris Left in your garden area.

Control with a fungicide spray one that contains, triforene or triadimefon. Wettable sulfur will also work but I would suggest the spray. Keep the Debris cleaned around your garden and pull back on the water. Let the plant stay on the "dry" side for a while and always water early enough in the day that there is not any moisture left on your plants by nightfall. You can find fungicides at any garden center...hang in there

Good luck and God Bless
