Do Rabbits Eat Petunias?

Hi,

We have a really bad rabbit problem in our neighborhood. I know that our neighborhood rabbits love marigolds so we won't plant them. Does anyone know if rabbits like petunias?

Any suggestions on how to keep the rabbits away?

Thanks.

Do Rabbits Eat Petunias?
Yes they do! It happened to me last year. I had several pots and they ate them up. One pot was high, and a chair was close by. A rabbit hopped up on the chair, then got IN the pot and was munching away. I let it go because they need food, too. And, I'm soft-hearted.

You can get animal repellant from farm and home stores. This should help, as would putting down some dog hair, if you know someone with a dog that sheds excessively; like our husky. By the way, the rabbits and our husky peacefully co-exist.
Reply:Bunnies love everything!

I use Moth Balls , and a Deer Off product that smells like rotten eggs.

The moth balls last a while the Deer off, need to be re-applied after every time it rains.

Get a female cat, or a female dog, like a border collie or a hound,

Males almost never lower themselves to hunting, when they instinctively know the women will do it!
Reply:we have a lot of rabbits . but we have an out door cat and they don't eat my flowers.
