Question about small detail in Harry Potter and The Sorcerors Stone?

It said that Harry's hair grew back over night after the horrible haircut Aunt Petunia gave him. Could this mean that Harry was showing some small signs of being a metamorphagus? (sp?) Or is it just one of those strange thing that young witches and wizards do?

Question about small detail in Harry Potter and The Sorcerors Stone?
He rethinks that event when Hagrid talks about the signs of being a wizard. From that, it seems that it is just one of the strange things that a young wizard can do. He wanted so badly to get his hair back that it grew back.
Reply:It's just an involuntary use of magic, which is pretty common among young witches and wizards. Another example in the Sorcerer's Stone movie is when Harry puts Dudley into the snake enclosure at the zoo.

Harry is neither an Animagus (like James, Sirius, and Wormtail) nor a Metamorphmagus (like Tonks).
Reply:Good thinking, but being a metamorphagus also includes the changing of hair color, and if Harry was a metamorphagus, he would have shown signs of it ever since he was born, like Teddy Lupin in the Deathly Hallows.
Reply:it think it's just one of those things that happens since he didn't want his hair cut. If he was a metamorphagus, his hair would look completely different then it did.
Reply:Hi!

I always though that was one of those strange things young witches and wizards do.

Back then, Harry was scared to go to school with a hideous haircut, so his magic made his hair grow back to normal. I think to have qualified as a Metamorphagus I'd have waited to see if things like that happened more often (hair color, styles, length), and not only with his head, but with different body parts (nose, mouth, eye, etc...).

Goodluck!
Reply:I don't think there is any evidence to suggest that Harry is a metamorphagus. The hair growing back quickly can only be attributed to his being a wizard.
Reply:strange things withches and wizards do
Reply:It's just the sign of Harry being a wizard.
Reply:You're thinking more deep, Jk wouldnt hv nvr thought of smethin lyk dat
Reply:No, hes not a metamorph, whatever. ITs just alittle thing jkrowling put into her story becuase it was a magic book and wanted to show how things work witha wizard and put oin a little comical thing thats all, but good investigating!
Reply:It didn't show that he was a metamorphagus, it just showed that he had signs of being a wizard. He couldn't control being a wizard at that time.
Reply:That's a really interesting theory! But no, I'm pretty sure that was just one of those strange little bits of magic that young wizards accidentally do.

After all, if he was a metamorphogus, wouldn't he have done something about that patch of hair that won't lie flat? ;)
