In harry potter and the deathly hallows?
why has harry got his mums eyes.
Genetics often does that. However, it is relevant because Snape remembers Lily whenever he looks at Harry- see the chapter of Snape's memories, near the end.
who performs magic in later life.
The best guesses are Filch at some time during the final battle or Merope in book 6, because her powers do not truly blossom until she is with Tom. Neville's powers only truly flourish in this book, so he is a possibility as well. It may have also been a Dumbledore, or have never been mentioned after all.
