Can petunia's grow in all shade?

They can. Unfortunately, they don't put on much of a show. They tend to get very weak and leggy. On top of that, they are more likely to be attacked by slugs and snails. If you have the petunias in a pot, just move them to a spot where they can get at least moderate light. Good luck.

Can petunia's grow in all shade?
They may grow, but they will not bloom. The vine will be straggly.
Reply:They won't bloom much in shade, and maybe not at all.
Reply:Not well. They LOVE full sun... Most plants that can take shade are considered shade tolerent. Not shade loving but shade tolerent. Even impatients and hosta's need some partial sun. There are only a select few plants that thrive in full shade.
Reply:YUP...but no flowers! and after a while, if you water too much they will be susceptible to botritus, and downey mildew.
Reply:No they need almost full sun
Reply:No. They need full sun. But impatients will grow in shade. In fact, they need full shade.
Reply:Try the smaller flowered versions of petunias (but not the "Millionbells" calibrachoa that nurseries are trying to foist on us as a substitute for them lately, which are definitely full-sun).

Keep them well pinched.
Reply:no
