How to get rid of catapillars on petunias?
You are probably talking about bud worms. These are the larvae of moths that look like white butterflies. They are devastating to petunias because they eat all the buds and you can't get any flowers. The Seven spray (carbaryl) will probably work or you can use a product called "Caterpiller Killer" from Safer. It contains a bacillus culture that invades the system of 'pillers and worms and kills them like a bad virus. It is host specific, which means it is only deadly to caterpillers and plant eating worms and won't hurt you or your pets. It won't kill other beneficial insects either but if you spray it all over your yard it will kill any other caterpillers. Even the ones that may be the larvae of beautiful butterflies. Apply it only to the petunias, okay?
Reply:Try Sevin dust. You can also look at a granular insecticide at a local garden center.
Reply:are you sure these are caterpillars?

I doubt it.

Go to Wal Mart and get some spray for flowers in the garden dept.
