I need small plants for my plantpots?

I have petunia lobelia and surfinia in my pots and hanging baskets but they are pretty tall in the pots and looking rather the worst for wear with all the wind and rain, are there any plants that can put in now that are on the smaller side.

Begonias make nice little clumping plants and the wind does not seem to affect them. I have them in my pots in North Texas and they are doing pretty well. My petunias are getting a little leggy and my marigolds are acting quite strange. Some of them are green and flowery and then others just shrivel up to dry sticks and die in a couple of days. Maybe the fact that it has gotten over 100 everyday for the last two months is the problem. But those begonias just keep on flourishing in the sun and wind. Pansies will work great as soon as it cools down. My pansies lasted from October to June. They hate the extreme heat though.
Reply:Try begonia,s if you can get any they are strong compact plants with colourful flowers, you can get hanging ones too.
Reply:Try pansies they dont grow too tall and trailing ivy for the sides both are hardy and will last through the winter as well
