In Harry Potter 5, what does Aunt Petunia's Howler mean?
"Remember my last, Petunia", which Rowling has confirmed is referring to the note he left with one-year-old Harry on their doorstep. This prompts Petunia to override Vernon's decision and allow Harry to stay.
Reply:It was about what Dumbledore had told Petunia about when Harry was given to her. He had told Petunia that Harry could only be safe with her in her home so she needed to keep Harry under her protection so that he would be safe.
Reply:dumbledore was saying to remember what he wrote in the letter that he gave her when he first brought harry to her doorstep. it said something about harry being safe there and even though petunia hadnt been talking to lilly, she probably found a soft spot for her sister's only child. when vernon wants to kick harry out in the 5th movie, petunia doesn't try to stop him until the howler comes and she remembers what she promised dumbledore, and she must keep him safe.
