Could it be hibiscus? but this big??? looks like gigantic petunias
please help!!!!
Saw these on an amish farm in PA.
I saw a huge flower bush today, the flowers were 10 inches in diameter in pink with a dark center. What is it?
There is a hibiscus called Dinner Plate, that could be it. I have one in my yard that has huge cranberry colored blooms. Gorgeous.
Reply:It was just a dream!
Reply:Definitely a hybrid hibiscus.
Reply:I'm sure it was a hibiscus...They grow very, very big...And they also look like petunias...
Reply:i was thinking hibiscus..on steroids maybe? lol
Reply:Definitely not a Cherry Blossom.
Reply:I have to agree Hibiscus, they are as stated before me in the same family as Rose of Sharon, and the hibiscus that are not hardy on the east coast, except the deep south.
I live in Massachusetts and I am so thrilled to have this plant available. Be warned, that a COLD, BARE GROUND WINTER, will kill even a well established plant. I lost a SNOW WHITE one after ten years to a bitter cold no snow covered winter. Oh well, I bought another one!
Reply:I would say Hibiscus or Rose of Sharon.
Reply:I've seen hibiscus that looked like that.
